Multiple Standoffs End in Man's Surrender on North Clinton Avenue
A man was arrested after an hours-long standoff on North Clinton Avenue in Rochester, New York. The Rochester Police Department responded to a report of neighbor trouble and discovered that one individual had entered a house with a firearm. After unsuccessful attempts to establish contact, a Hostage Negotiation Team successfully convinced the person to surrender. There were no hostages or active threats to the community. The police found a firearm and six secured dogs in the house. The 27-year-old man was the only occupant, and others living in the multi-family dwelling had been evacuated earlier.
