Woman Arrested for Animal Cruelty: 55 Dogs Rescued, 5 Puppies Found Dead in Freezer
A woman in Chandler, Arizona, who operated an animal rescue out of her condemned home has been arrested after 55 abused dogs were discovered and five dead puppies were found in a freezer. The dogs, many of which were elderly and special-needs, were without water and will likely need to be euthanized. The house has been condemned due to the poor air quality. The woman has been charged with multiple counts of animal abuse, animal cruelty, and vulnerable adult abuse. She claimed she didn't see anything wrong with storing food next to the dead animals. Her bail has been set at $2,500.
