Despite the Cincinnati Preservation Association's opposition to the demolition, the process to designate the site as a historic landmark would take four months, which is too long to prevent the imminent closure. The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and its subsidiary plan to have the new venue open by spring 2026.
