Drive-by outside Harlesden church kills woman during wake as four men stand trial
A gunman opened fire on mourners outside the River of Life Pentecostal Church in Harlesden, London, killing Michelle Sadio and injuring two others during a wake. Four men – Perry Allen-Thomas, Shaquille Sutherland, Amir Salem and Tahjin Sommersall – deny murder and two counts of attempted murder and are on trial at the Old Bailey; prosecutors say the attack was appalling and may have been carried out to target a rapper from Willesden. The Kia used was stolen, driven on false plates and later set alight; victim Kenneth Amoah was paralysed and Kadeem Francis was shot in the foot.
