
Federal Charges Filed Against Duo Involved in Abduction and Gun Store Theft
Two men are facing federal charges after allegedly abducting a sporting goods store manager from his home at gunpoint and forcing him to participate in the theft of over 120 handguns from the store near Benton Harbor, Michigan. The manager was blindfolded, handcuffed, and threatened until he disclosed the security system passcode. One suspect stayed with the manager while the other disabled the alarm system, filled coolers with handguns, and left. Law enforcement swiftly recovered most of the stolen firearms and arrested the suspects. The charges include robbery, brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence, theft of firearms, and knowingly possessing stolen firearms. Authorities emphasized the importance of preventing illegal guns from entering communities and praised the collaborative effort in the investigation.
