Volkswagen's ID.2: Redefining Affordable EVs with Hotter GTI/GTX Variant.
Volkswagen is reportedly working on a sporty version of the ID.2all concept, which could eventually become a production model. The hot hatch will retain a front-wheel-drive layout and feature a sportier body kit. While it is unclear whether it will be called the GTI or GTX, the car is expected to outrun the Golf GTI and could debut as early as May. Volkswagen plans to make all of its performance flagships EV-only by 2030.
