New Orleans chef Demietriek Scott, who had been reported dead by multiple news outlets earlier in the day, was found alive and safe after being missing for two weeks. Scott explained that he went off the grid because he needed time to think. He expressed gratitude for the outpouring of concern and said he didn't realize people cared that much. Scott grew up in New Orleans and owns a food truck and a line of creole barbeque sauces.
