The Parental Rights Debate: Democrats vs. Republicans
The US House of Representatives passed a Parents Bill of Rights to protect families from overreach by public schools, which are infusing books about gender and sexuality into the curriculum starting in kindergarten. The bill would require public schools to disclose all curricula, reading lists, library books, and budget costs, and force administrators and teachers to seek parents’ consent before changing a child’s gender status. House Democrats opposed the bill, claiming it would ban books promoting inclusion, but critics argue that such books are pure indoctrination and cause lifelong and irreversible damage to developing bodies. Progressives want taxpayers to subsidize their indoctrination of children, and anyone who objects is labeled fascist and a bigot.
