"US Federal Contractor Accused of Illegally Sharing Classified Information with Ethiopia"

A federal contractor, Abraham Teklu Lemma, has been charged with sending classified US information to Ethiopia. Lemma, a naturalized US citizen from Ethiopia, had access to highly classified information due to his government work and allegedly copied and shared it with a foreign agent. He accessed and copied intelligence reports related to Ethiopia, deleted classified markings on documents, and sent classified information including satellite imagery to an intelligence service agent in Ethiopia. The State Department discovered the breach during an internal security review. Lemma faces charges including gathering or delivering defense information to aid a foreign government and unauthorized possession of national defense information.
