Tragic Loss: Born x Raised Co-Founder Chris Printup Passes Away at 42
Chris Printup, also known as Spanto, the founder of streetwear brand Born X Raised, has died at the age of 42 from injuries sustained in a car accident in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born X Raised, which became a prominent fixture in Los Angeles's fashion scene, was founded by Printup and Alex Erdmann. Printup, who grew up in poverty and experienced a troubled past, started the brand as a way to showcase the Los Angeles of his childhood. Despite facing challenges, including a cancer diagnosis, Printup persevered and continued to work on the brand. His business partner, Erdmann, described him as an indefatigable force of nature. Born X Raised plans to hold an event to honor Printup.
