F1 23 will offer more than just the story mode Braking Point, with the addition of F1 World, a new mode that combines single-player progression with multiplayer events and car development. F1 World will allow players to compete in cars that they are developing and upgrading, distinct from their competitors but still in a fair fight. The mode will also gate F1 World's tiers of competition so that players are building out their car, but still fairly matched.
