Employees Rally to Save Anchor Brewing Co. Through Buyout Bid
Anchor Brewing, the 127-year-old craft beer pioneer, has stated that it is open to a purchase offer from its employees to avoid closure. The company, which was sold to Japanese brewer Sapporo Holdings in 2017, recently announced its discontinuation due to declining sales and tough economic conditions. While Anchor Brewing has received interest from investors, it will consider an offer from its employees if they can provide a verifiable source of funds. However, time is running out, and the company plans to proceed with liquidation in early August if no viable solution is found.
