Tragic Death of 1-Year-Old Boy Linked to Opioid Exposure at Bronx Day Care
A one-year-old boy has died and three other children have been hospitalized after drug equipment was found at a day care in the Bronx. The police discovered a kilo press, commonly used by drug dealers, inside the home-based day care. It is unclear what type of drugs were being manufactured or how the children came into contact with them. The Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death, and doctors will test the surviving children for exposure to drugs. Two individuals are being questioned, and charges are expected. The day care recently passed an inspection with no violations found.
