Anthropic expands Claude memory, adds cross-platform data import to win AI switchers
Anthrop ic is expanding Claude memory to all users (including the free plan) and adding a memory importing tool to migrate data from rival AIs, letting users copy context from ChatGPT or Gemini into Claude by using a pre-written prompt with their old AI and importing the result. The memory feature was previously limited to paid plans since October, and the update comes as Claude gains popularity alongside Opus 4.6 and Sonnet 4.6.
