French Resistance member speaks out on WWII prisoner executions.

An ex-member of the French Resistance, Edmond Réveil, has broken his silence after 75 years to reveal how up to 40 German soldiers were executed by the Resistance in June 1944. The mass execution took place in a wood near Meymac in central France, and Réveil personally witnessed it. The case has recently been reopened, and excavation work is set to begin to find the bodies of the soldiers. Local historians have confirmed the events as described by Réveil, and officials from the German War Graves Commission are expected to visit Meymac to establish the exact site of the graves.
