"Corruption Perceptions Index 2023: Denmark Tops, UK Falls, Global Efforts Falter"

Singapore maintains its position as the fifth least corrupt country in the world, according to the Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index, making it the only Asian country in the top 10. The country scored 83 in 2023, the same as the year before, and the Corruption Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) stated that the corruption situation in Singapore "remains firmly under control," with consistently low public sector corruption cases. Singapore also ranked third for absence of corruption in the World Justice Project Rule of Law Index 2023 and performed well in the 2023 Report on Corruption in Asia by the Political and Economic Risk Consultancy (PERC).
