Iran’s new strike wave widens a regional war with Israel and the U.S.

Iran launched a fresh volley of missiles and airstrikes at Israeli and American bases as regional fighting widens, with Tehran promising retaliation after the U.S. sank an Iranian frigate. Israel said it began a large-scale attack on Tehran and also struck targets in Lebanon, as explosions were heard in multiple cities. The conflict has killed more than 1,000 in Iran and dozens elsewhere, disrupted global oil flows, and drawn more regional actors into the fighting.
