"Fatal Grizzly Bear Attack Claims Two Lives in Banff National Park"

Two backpackers were killed by a grizzly bear in a remote area of Banff National Park in Canada. The incident occurred in the Red Deer River Valley, and park officials responded to a GPS alert indicating a bear attack. Upon arrival, they found the campers dead and an aggressive grizzly nearby, which was subsequently shot. This time of year, grizzlies are actively feeding to prepare for winter, and there have been other recent bear incidents in the Canadian Rockies. In 2022, there have been 26 bear attacks in Canada, resulting in four fatalities.
