Grizzly Bear Pursues Wild Horses in Alberta's Backcountry

Trail cameras in the Canadian Rocky Mountains captured footage of a grizzly bear chasing a group of feral horses. The Help Alberta Wildies Society posted the footage on its Facebook page. The feral horse population in Alberta is managed by the provincial government to minimize impacts on rangeland productivity for grazing and other wildlife. Biologists argue that grizzly bears preying on feral horses is just another link in the wild food chain.
