A 37-year-old woman, known as "Tunnel Girl," has gained viral fame on TikTok for building a tunnel system under her home. With no formal engineering background, she has spent $50,000 on the 30ft-long and 22ft-deep bunker, which she plans to use as a storm shelter. Kala, who enjoys challenges, has become well-known on TikTok with over 332,000 followers. She has faced challenges during the project, including dealing with standing water and a fire caused by welding steel forms. Kala expects it will take another six months to complete the tunnel system.
