"Indonesia's Annual Eid al-Fitr Exodus Begins"

Millions of Indonesian Muslims are participating in the annual "mudik" exodus to return to their hometowns ahead of the Eid al-Fitr celebrations, causing extensive traffic jams and long travel times, particularly on the main island of Java. This mass migration is expected to involve around 193 million people, marking a significant increase compared to last year's Eid holidays.
