Paris Takes a Stand: Banning E-Scooter Rentals and Diesel Vehicles

Paris is set to become one of the few cities in Europe to ban rented e-scooters, as operators Lime, Dott, and Tier confirm the removal of their scooters by September 1. The ban comes after a referendum in which 90% of voters were against the trottinettes. However, private e-scooter usage rules will remain unchanged. The companies plan to focus on expanding their e-bike fleets in Paris instead. The move is part of Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo's efforts to reduce car congestion and make the city more bike-accessible.
