Paris Bans Rental E-Scooters.

Parisians have voted overwhelmingly in favour of banning rental electric scooters in the city due to concerns over road safety. Almost 90% of voters in a referendum supported the ban, which was called in response to a rising number of accidents involving e-scooters. Critics argued that the vehicles were causing more harm than good, with riders weaving through traffic, dodging pedestrians on pavements, and getting up to speeds of 17mph. The three main operators - Lime, Dott and Tier - urged people to vote in their favour, but the ban was supported by Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo.
