A wingsuit flyer's head was severed by the wing of a plane during a 2018 accident in France. The pilot, Alain C, is now facing a manslaughter trial. The collision occurred shortly after the flyer jumped from the plane, resulting in his decapitation at an altitude of 14,400 feet. Alain C, an employee of a local parachuting school, could potentially receive a 12-month suspended prison sentence. The pilot admitted to breaching regulations as his license was invalid for the flight. The verdict is expected to be announced on November 21.
