Tragic Accident: Italian Winemaker Drowns in Wine Vat Trying to Save Colleague

A 46-year-old Italian winemaker, Marco Bettolini, reportedly drowned in a vat of wine while trying to save his colleague, Alberto Pin, who had fallen ill from nitrogen gases emitted during the winemaking process at the Ca’ di Rajo winery in northeastern Italy. Bettolini lost his balance and fell into the vat after becoming dizzy from the fumes. Pin was taken to the hospital in serious condition and is currently in a medically-induced coma. The incident has raised concerns about safety in Italy's wine industry.
