Multiple Tragedies Strike Indian Temples: Dozens Dead and Injured in Collapses and Well Accidents

At least 36 people were killed and 16 injured when the roof of a temple complex collapsed in the Indian city of Indore during the Hindu festival of Ram Navami. The incident occurred when a concrete slab covering the roof of a stepwell in the temple complex gave way, crushing devotees who had gathered to celebrate.
