Multiple Arrests Made in Denmark and the Netherlands in Suspected Terrorist Plot

Danish police have arrested three individuals on suspicion of preparing terrorist attacks, with another person arrested in the Netherlands on the same charges. The arrests come as the Netherlands raised its terrorism threat level to "substantial" just two days prior. Denmark's current terror threat alert is at level four, the second highest. The European Union's Home Affairs commissioner has warned of a "huge risk of terrorist attacks" over the Christmas holiday period. Denmark has previously experienced terrorism episodes, including a shooting at a shopping mall in 2022 and a free speech event and synagogue in 2015.
