"PM Modi Unveils Varanasi Cricket Stadium: A Game-Changer for Indian Sports"

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of an international cricket stadium in Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency. The stadium, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is expected to benefit local sportspersons and boost the economy. The Uttar Pradesh government has spent Rs 121 crore to acquire the land, while the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will spend Rs 330 crore on construction. The stadium's design will reflect the essence of Kashi, featuring unique elements such as a crescent-shaped roof, trident-shaped floodlights, and a structure resembling a 'damru'. It is set to be completed by December 2025 and will be Uttar Pradesh's third international cricket stadium.
