Kami Rita sets new record with 28th Mount Everest summit.

Sherpa guide Kami Rita has broken his own record by scaling Mount Everest for the 28th time, just days after setting it. Fellow Sherpa guide Pasang Dawa had matched his previous record of 27 climbs, sparking a race for the title of most climbs of the world's highest peak. Both guides are currently on the mountain helping their clients up the peak, with hundreds of climbers attempting to summit this month.
