Former NHL Player Adam Johnson Suffers Severe Neck Injury During Game in Britain's Top League

Former NHL player Adam Johnson tragically died at the age of 29 after suffering a severe cut to his neck in a "freak accident" during a game for the Nottingham Panthers in the UK. The injury, believed to be caused by a skate blade, occurred during a mid-ice collision. Johnson was attended to by officials and teammates before being transported to a hospital, but unfortunately, he did not survive. The Elite Ice Hockey League postponed all games on Sunday in response to his death. Johnson had previously played for the Pittsburgh Penguins and was in his first season with the Panthers.
