British climber sets record with 17th Everest ascent as non-Sherpa guide.

British mountain guide Kenton Cool has broken his own record for the most ascents of Mount Everest by a non-Sherpa guide, scaling the mountain for the 17th time. Only Nepali Sherpa guides have climbed the peak more times than Cool. Hundreds of climbers and their local guides are currently on Everest, with a rush for the summit expected in the next few weeks.
