Brazilian Authorities and Mossad Collaborate to Foil Hezbollah Terror Plot in Brazil

Brazilian authorities, in collaboration with Israeli intelligence, have successfully foiled a plot by Hezbollah to carry out attacks on Jews in Brazil. Two individuals suspected of being financed by the Lebanon-based and Iran-backed terrorist group were arrested by Brazil's Federal Police. The suspects were planning domestic attacks and recruiting Brazilian citizens. The intended targets reportedly included synagogues. Hezbollah has a history of targeting Jews abroad, including the 1994 bombing of the AMIA Jewish community center in Buenos Aires. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office stated that Hezbollah and Iran continue to operate globally to carry out attacks against Israeli, Jewish, and Western targets.
