Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a holy dip at the 'Agnitheerth' beach and worshipped at the Lord Ramanathaswamy temple in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, wearing a rudraksha-mala and participating in 'bhajans'. The ancient Shiva temple has a connection to the Ramayana, as the Shiva linga was installed by Shri Ram, and Lord Ram and Sita Devi prayed there.
