Sony World Photography Awards 2023 Winner Captures Powerful Tribute to Slain Journalist.

The winners of the Sony World Photography Awards 2023 have been announced, featuring a diverse range of subjects and styles. The Photographer of the Year and first place in Professional Competition, Portraiture went to Edgar Martins for his work on the conflict in Libya. Other winners included Rinko Kawauchi for Outstanding Contribution to Photography, Fan Li for Architecture and Design, and Corey Arnold for Wildlife and Nature. The awards also recognized the vital contribution of women to peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the adaptation of wildlife to urbanization.
