"India Official Drains Dam for Lost Phone Retrieval"

A government official in India has been suspended after he ordered a reservoir to be drained to retrieve his lost phone, which he claimed contained sensitive government data. Rajesh Vishwas, a food inspector, dropped his Samsung phone worth $1,200 into Kherkatta Dam while taking a selfie. It took three days to pump millions of litres of water out of the dam, but the phone was too water-logged to work. Vishwas has denied misusing his position, but his actions have drawn criticism from politicians.
