Death of Russian Thermonuclear Bomb Inventor Shocks Moscow

Grigory Klinishov, a Russian physicist who helped create the country's first hydrogen bomb, was found dead in his Moscow apartment in an apparent suicide at the age of 92. Klinishov left a suicide note apologizing to his family and citing health issues and the loss of his wife as reasons for his decision. He was known for developing various types of thermonuclear charges and for his role in creating the two-stage thermonuclear bomb known as RDS-37.
