Typhoon Threatens Southern Japan: Aug. 2 Deadline

Typhoon Khanun is expected to approach Okinawa Prefecture in southern Japan, bringing strong winds and storm tides. Flights have been canceled, and residents are warned of mudslides and flooding. The typhoon is moving north-northwest with winds up to 198 kph. Tides could reach up to 10 meters in Okinawa and 6 meters in Amami.
