Typhoon Khanun wreaks havoc in Okinawa with powerful winds and flooding

Typhoon Khanun has caused destruction in Okinawa and nearby islands with powerful winds, severe flooding, and huge waves. The storm left over 30 people injured, disrupted transportation, and cut power to around 200,000 homes. Okinawa's Naha Airport experienced cancellations of hundreds of flights due to strong winds. The typhoon, exhibiting an unusual double-eyewall structure, is expected to gradually weaken but may potentially affect Okinawa again by Friday and Saturday.
