A 26-year-old woman, María Moreno, fell to her death while attempting to flee a seventh-floor apartment in Bogotá, Colombia, after a 6.3 magnitude earthquake and subsequent aftershock rattled the capital city. Moreno, who was locked in her friend's room, tried to scale down the building's facade but lost her grip and fell to the ground. The earthquake caused buildings to sway, damaged structures, and trapped residents in elevators.
