"Russian City Undergoes Mass Evacuation Amid Devastating Floods"

The Russian city of Orenburg has called for mass evacuations as rapidly rising flood waters, caused by a historic deluge of melting snow, have forced over 120,000 people from their homes in Russia's Ural Mountains, Siberia, and Kazakhstan. Emergency workers have reported water levels in the Ural river to be more than six and a half feet above dangerous levels, with nearly 12,000 homes flooded in Orenburg alone. The village of Kaminskoye in the Kurgan region is also being evacuated, and concerns have been raised about the potential impact on a key military-industrial complex in Kurgan.
