Massive Flooding Forces Evacuations in Russia's Far East

More than 2,500 people have been evacuated in Russia's Far East due to flooding caused by heavy rains brought by tropical storm Khanun. At least three people have drowned, and over 4,600 homes were flooded in the Primorye region. Several towns and cities were cut off from transport networks, and power outages affected 91 apartment buildings and 1,730 private homes. The city of Ussuriysk experienced its worst flooding in a decade, but floodwaters have started to recede in some areas.
