Icelandic Volcano Erupts, Threatening Capital with Toxic Gas

Icelandic police have restricted access to a volcano near Reykjavik that has been emitting life-threatening toxic gas pollution since it began erupting. Residents in the area have been advised to keep windows closed and turn off ventilation. The police, in consultation with scientists, made the decision due to the enormous levels of toxic gas. People already at the eruption site are strongly advised to leave.
