Earthquake rattles northeastern China, causing damage and injuries

A magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck northeastern China, with no major damage or casualties reported. Videos on social media showed shaking light fixtures, trembling ground, and people evacuating buildings. The quake was felt in cities as far away as Beijing and Shanghai. Earthquakes are uncommon in eastern China, where most of the population and big cities are located. The possibility of a larger earthquake is considered very small.
