Cyclone Michaung wreaks havoc in Chennai as heavy flooding and landfall hit southern India

Chennai airport runway is flooded and at least four people have died as torrential rain and severe cyclone Michaung approach southern India. The cyclone is expected to make landfall in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday, with sustained winds of 90-100 kph. Factories, including Apple suppliers Foxconn and Pegatron, have halted production due to heavy rains. Thousands of people have been evacuated from coastal areas, and schools, colleges, offices, and banks have been closed in affected districts.
