Private Sector Meets Demand for Infantry Training as Ukraine's Civilians Prepare for War

As the war between Ukraine and Russia continues, civilians in Ukraine are taking it upon themselves to train in military tactics and infantry skills. With approximately one million Ukrainians either in uniform or employed in government agencies supporting the war effort, the line between civilian life and military service has blurred. Many civilians are voluntarily practicing fire and movement, marksmanship, and other military tactics at privately-run training bases across the country. These training facilities, funded by donations, cater to individuals who want to be prepared to defend their homes and potentially join the Armed Forces in the future.
