This comes as the US offers to deploy guards on commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian armed forces spokesperson Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi questioned the US presence in the region, stating that the countries in the Persian Gulf are capable of ensuring their own security. The Revolutionary Guards' navy commander, Alireza Tangsiri, highlighted the improved precision and longer range of the new missiles.
