US trainers aid Ukraine's doctrine overhaul.

The US Army's Security Assistance Training Management Organization (SATMO) has helped Ukraine reform its fighting style, force structure, and professional military education by training Ukraine's own doctrine writers and establishing a major training center in the country's west. SATMO's doctrine advisory groups and trainers have helped Kyiv reinvent its doctrine and operations, bringing Ukraine to a NATO standard. SATMO's cost efficiency is due to legal requirements that hosts foot the training bill.
