Ukraine's Shock Tactics No Match for Russia's Vast Tank Arsenal

Ukrainian marines have been employing aggressive and creative shock tactics in their assault along the Mokri Yaly River in southern Donetsk Oblast. However, their recent assault failed when a single Russian tank appeared, spoiling the attack. The marines, who are lightly equipped compared to Ukrainian army brigades, rely on speed and aggression to confuse and fracture dug-in Russian forces. While their thunderous assault tactics have been successful in some instances, they can be hindered if the tanks do not keep pace with the trucks, leaving the marines without heavy fire support.
