Ukraine's Military Outsmarts Russian Troops in Bakhmut Drone Attack

A Ukrainian soldier known as "Grandfather" has been awarded a medal of bravery for shooting down a Russian exploding drone with his Kalashnikov rifle. The soldier, who has been fighting in Zaporizhzhia for over a year, downed the Iranian-built Shahed drone, which was supplied to Russia, with single shots. The drone has been used by Russia to repeatedly attack Ukraine, including hitting several cities. "Grandfather" was awarded the Cross of the Brave medal from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for his feat of sharpshooting.
