Ukraine's Military Achievements: Helicopter-Killing Missiles, Surviving Direct Hits, and Obliterating Training Camps

Ukrainian troops have shot down two Russian attack helicopters using the Swedish-made Saab RBS-70 laser-guided missile, bringing the total number of Ka-52 helicopters lost by Russia in the 18-month war on Ukraine to at least 41. The RBS-70 missile system has proven effective against the Ka-52s, which rely on onboard jammers for protection but lack countermeasures against radar-guided missiles. If Ukrainian brigades can continue to push their missile crews forward, they could potentially gain control of the air over the front line from the Russians.
